I see no point in living life that right, so I just take what I can find.
I see no point in living life that right, when your out here in this jungle.
It's wild round 'ere, you don't wanna spend a night round 'ere.
When your out here in this jungle, aint nothing nice round 'ere, troubles what you find round 'ere.
When your out here in this jungle, in this jungle.
Your always caught in this struggle, in this jungle .
But you keep asking for trouble, you love? You love when trouble comes your way, your way, your way.
Verse 1: Welcome to Hackney, a place where I think somebody's been playing Jumanji.
A Manor where man are like animals, an' they'll yam on you like they yam on food.
Cats with claws that'll stab a yout', act bad an' catch a slap or two.
We don't applaud success, all we clap are tools.
London aint cool to cruise through where the hunters pray, Looking lunch today, and your chains looking like fresh fruit to a hungry ape.
They'll eat on you, then laugh about it like Hyenas do, so stick to breezing through, like cheeta's do or be a piece of food.
Chorus
When your out here in this jungle.

Verse 2: It's blitz admist the strife here, got kids with sticks and knifes here.
It's hype here, we know no different prick; it's just life here, life the way we know from young the way we're shown.
Stacked trapped in flats where our front doors don't face the road.
God CID spinning round in cars, shifting criminals at large, it's hard, not to think the bits are just a bing without the bars.
Jealousy's what the cheddar brings, for the cheddar it's anything goes, low enough to rob newly weds for their wedding rings
Everyday is warring, never give a warning, violence is the only way you settle things, everyday is hating, money that I'm making, jealous 'cause I'm moving on to better things, everyday is fighting, rolling in the night now. All you do is watch everyone else get far, you say that life is hard..
When your out here in this jungle.

Final Film Ideas
Today we made greta progress finally confirming our final ideas. We wanted to have a documentary styled music video (perofrmance based). The video would consist of young teens in estates, rapping and acting like street thugs, whilst wearing animal masks to give the impression that the estate is like a concrete jungle. We then wanted most of the shots to consist of 'Professor Green' in a walk and talk shot whilst rapping and occasional cuts to establishing shots of the estates and 'animals'. Next step is to plan the storyboard, search for props and to find potential actors

7. Looking back what have you learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Although we felt our preliminary task went well we however we did lack in continuity when filming. So when it came to our filming we made show that we did not make them same mistake for example we almost fell into that problem again when one of actors forgot his clothes and therefore we had to reshoot another scene. We also ran into problems when our actors would constantly forget their lines. After seeing both my main task and my prelim I came to a conclusion that my main task was much better. Reason being our choice of music suited the genre well. As they were dark, gloomy songs that added a serious effect to the scenes. We also stuck to the convention of an action film better by having typical generic characters. We also had our prelim as a very comic action film. However our main task was much more serious and the shots were more creative such as the fight scene where we had shots being quick and sharp. Overall many improvements were mad to our main task for example when filming we lacked in continuity so to avoid this mistake from continuing on to our main task we made always had one of our team members at all times look for continuity. We also ran into problems during our preliminary task with actors forgetting their lines. To address this problem we faced we decided that we would provide actors with the script so they could learn lines so that when it came to doing the scenes they were well prepared to act.
6. What have you learnt about technologies by constructing this product
In my creating my media piece I was given various pieces of new technology to make use of. These involved both software and hardware. I was given I movie to use when editing the shots we took which was hugely beneficial as I was able to cut different shots that were taken at different times and also able to make effects and titles. Without I movie it would have been very difficult to editing/cut etc all my shots and I certainly could not have done any effects or titles. However when editing I realised that the 09 version of I movie was not able to do SFX (such as time remapping) therefore I was then left no choice but to use the 08 version of I movie as it was the only one that did effects. We also used ‘handycams’ (cameras) which were very beneficial because without it, it would have actually been impossible to record any shots, however as it isn’t very professional the cameras quality was not all that good.
5. How did you attract your audience?
As our film is an action film we decided it is only logical that we have our film follow many of the conventions of a action film. From our genre research we discovered that action fans usually find action films more interesting when they start and end with action. We also discovered majority of films usually do begin and end in violence. Also we used generic type and binary opposition to present the “cool”, likeable good guy who is well known for action films. However we also wanted to add a twist which differed from other films by having the “bad guy” a woman which is not often seen in films but it Is different which makes the audience more likely to want to see it because of how it differs.
4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
After much research we came to a conclusion that our target audience were males between the ages of 15-30 and any action film lovers. We researched on who would be best suited by looking at the BBFC(British Board of Film Classification). These are the people who decide what age certificates are assigned to movies. We looked at what each category allowed from a movie and decided that the best category would be fifteen due to our movie being subjected around violence and also is mainly subjected around the theme of Discrimination. We also have a simple “James bond” like storyline which is well known to attract teens and young adults for example watchmen and Mission Impossible did just that. The film is also pretty much centred around violence and action which would attract young men and pretty much lovers of action films.
3. What kind of Media institutions might distribute your media?
Our movie is an Action film which was hugely influenced by movies such as Watchmen and Mission Impossible(+sequels). As such we decided it would only be logical if it were distributed by Institutions that distributes these sorts of movies and have previously distributed them successfully. My first institution was Paramount Pictures.
Paramount are well known for the success of their previous movies that were distributed, distributing movies such as GI Joe that has a gross revenue of $301,543,074 from a budget of $170m. It also distributed all the movies that my film was influenced by. Which reinforces the reason Paramount is a good distributor for my film seeing as majority of the films they have distributed are similar in genre to my film and majority have gone on to be a success. Also I considered Warner bros as they are another distributor which are well known for distributing successful action films for example The Dark Knight and also an influence in a movie Watchmen. I believed that they would be very interested in my film as it is very alike to that of their previously distributed films however we added our on twist in order to make it differ slightly.

2. How does your media represent particular social groups
Our media(our opening of our movie) represents many social groups in particular ways. When devising the media we aimed to be able to question the representations of these social groups. In most movies we noticed that assassins/ killers and generally the ‘bad guys’ then to be men. We decided we would questions this representation by having the assassin and the main ‘bad guy’ or villain as a woman. This represented women as evil and vengeful as that is the reason behind the women’s evil acts. We also represented the constantly questioned issues of what sex is stronger (which the men are usually) by having the women kill off men who due to stereotypes etc are supposed to be seen as stronger. This in turn questions those stereotypes as to whether the men really are the stronger sex.

1.In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media
Within our genre we studied, analysed and tried to pick out the main conventions of this specific genre (which was action/adventure). Specifically we focused on three main films studying any common trends of conventions they each shared. We studied Mission Impossible, Watchmen and Next. We noticed that the main conventions they shared was that they used music that was quite contrasting to the actual genre for their openings for example watchmen being an action movie you’d expect a fast paced music however it uses a slow romantic and calming song although it is a fight scene which leads to the death of one of the characters. Each and everyone of these movies studied also included some sort of fast paced action seen in their openings which varied from fight scenes to chase scenes which was a big convention used within their openings. And in addition they also used cross cutting to start the story at various stages and bring them together for one opening. In watchmen the story is a lot similar to ours in the sense that a murder sparks of this hunt for who is hunting down these retired superheroes and ours who is hunting down these retired agents. We chose this storyline because we found it very interesting and a storyline that we could see being a full movie. We also had the use of cross cutting to bring the two characters together the same way Next did in their chase scene and in addition we also had our story spark off with 3 murders (alike to Watchmen but only doesn’t have just one murder). We tried in most areas of our main task to stick to conventions however we did not want it to be to alike to our researched genre so we decided that we would choose specifically what conventions we used. One convention we knew we had no choice but to keep would have to be the action and fast paced scene which we decided would be a fight scene. We decided we had to do this as we knew that our audience would want an opening scene to be something that could keep them “glued to their seats”. As we did not want our main task to be alike to other movies of action genres we decided that it would be good to add some sort of “twist” in order to deviate from other movies of our researched genre. We decided that it would be good if we had a woman as an assassin and they “bad guys” to be woman as it is not something that is usually seen in movies and it also contradicts views on what woman are seen as.

Choosing the music
In our movie we decided that we'd want two songs to be within it. One would be for the beginning when all the murders took place and the second would be for the fight scene. For the opening sequence we thought it would be good to have a piano that had a sort of moody and serious melody whilst the murders took place. Then for the fight scene we were looking for something that was really fast and sped up the fight scene. for the opening murders i knew of an instrumental i heard when i was younger that started with a piano which i thought would work nicely for the murders(this was a song called cradle to the grave by flukes production). Finding a good song for the fight scene was more difficult as there were so many routes which it could go and so many songs which would give different affects. i gathered many songs from research i did considering many genres such as hip-hop rock and punk rock. Below were the list of songs i considered.
Linkin Park- In the end
Joe Budden-Pump it up
Linkin Park- Breaking the Habit
Linkin Park- Faint
Rob Dougan- Clubbed to death
Propeller Heads- Spybreak
